HONEY IS THAT TRUE is a two-part exploration of romance, addiction, self-destruction, maladaptive daydreaming, Hinge fatigue, ghosting your psych, song lyric Instagram captions, 2023 Naarm sober clubbing, transfeminine word association, the heritability of autism, sexual biting but not in a vore way, and how to subsist on only 14 hours of screentime a day.

Part 1 is a compilation of hyperconfessional poems about (and often directed at) men. They trace a line from the author’s present-day romantic tribulations back through a decade of substance abuse, friendship breakups, and Lana Del Rey apologia. Interspersed among them are dredged up fragments from iPhones past, in sometimes literal dialogue with the present day.

Part 2 is a Twitter drafts dump. It’s funny here and there.
